Decision 1
This is not an apostille-only route
U.S. certification or authentication is followed by UAE mission or Ministry of Foreign Affairs attestation steps as applicable.
U.S. documents for use in the UAE
The United Arab Emirates is not currently a party to the Apostille Convention, so eligible U.S. documents generally follow an authentication and UAE attestation/legalization workflow—not an apostille-only route. The correct chain depends on the document issuer and the UAE receiving authority.
Decision 1
U.S. certification or authentication is followed by UAE mission or Ministry of Foreign Affairs attestation steps as applicable.
Decision 2
State-issued or notarized records begin with the relevant state. Eligible federal documents begin with the federal authentication route.
Decision 3
UAE MoFA guidance says the original document should be in Arabic or English, or accompanied by a legally translated version, and should not be laminated.
Decision 4
Personal, education, and commercial records can have different preliminary certifications and recipient requirements. Confirm the exact use before processing.
Final acceptance belongs to the recipient. An apostille or authentication verifies a public signature or seal; it does not approve the document’s contents or guarantee acceptance.
| Document | Likely route | Confirm before submission |
|---|---|---|
| Birth, marriage, court, or notarized record | Issuing state, then UAE attestation chain | Certified copy, state prerequisites, translation, UAE recipient |
| Diploma or education record | Issuer/state route, then UAE attestation chain | School verification or other preliminary certification may apply |
| Eligible federal document | U.S. federal authentication, then UAE attestation chain | Agency signature eligibility and UAE mission requirements |
Routes are described as likely because the signer, seal, copy type, destination, and receiving authority determine eligibility.
Tell us the document, issuing authority, destination, and receiving organization. We check the likely route before quoting.
We coordinate the eligible U.S. state or federal steps and any requested translation, legalization, or tracked return delivery.
You confirm the final package with the receiving authority. Government authorities issue certificates; Notary Pin provides administrative coordination.
UAE MoFA describes attestation as verification of signatures and seals and publishes document-format conditions.
